Tea Parties v. The Two Parties

You may recall the Rasmussen poll from a couple weeks back that had a (non-existent) Tea Party candidate beating a (theoretical) GOP candidate on a generic ballot.

In a recent NBC/WSJ poll, the tea party movement has better "favorables" than both the Republican and Democrat parties.

Check out my op-ed on the topic here.

  1. A 3rd party for conservatives spells defeat at the ballot box. You are correct to say that the Tea Party movement should work within the existing GOP.

The problem is the GOP leadership won’t do whats best for the country, and step aside.

Its better to loose an election, than to give the Liberals and DNC cover when their goofy socialist ideas fail. Liberals and the DNC need to start owning their failures 100%, so that people know who to blame.
